Records, CDs, an honest-to-goodness VHS rental section, action figures, non-sports trading cards, weird plastic-pals and rubbermen galore, and countless charming artifacts of cultural detritus. The Green Bay UFO Museum—a name of questionable accuracy though apt nonetheless—is one of the most gloriously odd stops in Wisconsin.
Owned by Pierre Jacque and staffed by music scene legend, promoter and columnist Timebomb Tom Smith—both formerly of legendary state record chain The Exclusive Company—GBUFO also shoves a few shelves and runs a PA from behind the counter to host some seriously righteous live music in a BYOB, often donation-based setting, as well as book signings, listening parties, standup comedy, random video screenings, and other unique events.
